Welcome to NCC Journal (NCCJ), a prestigious and double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly publication dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of business, management, economics, and social sciences. PAPERS/MATERIALS ACCEPTABLE FOR PUBLICATION IN NCCJ
This is a brief note for the consideration of potential authors on the types of materials acceptable for publication in NCC Journal. NCCJ considers the following five types of materials for publication, namely:
A brief write-up on the contents and style expected in each of these is given below:
Empirical Paper:
An empirical paper should investigate a problem relevant for management theory and practice, using the systematic analysis of primary or secondary data. The paper, therefore, should be structured around the following sub-headings or their equivalents:
Introduction
Literature Review
Methodology
Results and Discussions
Conclusion
Implications
Rewiew Paper:
A conceptual paper should be an attempt to extend the frontiers of knowledge in a particular field by integrating and/or reinterpreting the findings of prior studies in the field.
Research Notes:
Research notes are also empirical works, but are different from empirical papers only in their scale of execution, not in the rigor of the research method.
Case Studies:
Case studies are descriptions of the real situations and actions of real organizations, which may be of any type or sector.
Book Reviews:
Book Reviews are published by NCCJ to introduce recently published books to potential readers.
Contents of a Book Review: Title and bibliographic details, Background on the book's topic, Highlights/outline of the book's contents, Reviewer's critical comments, assessment, and appreciation of the book, Reviewer's recommendations, if any.
Guidelines to Authors
NCCJ welcomes articles on issues of current interest in management and social science, especially in the context of the journal's focus. We publish Empirical Papers, Review Papers, Research Notes, Case Studies, and Book Reviews. Research manuscripts that include Empirical Papers, Conceptual Papers, Research Notes, and Case Studies should be submitted by email to: nccjournal@ncc.edu.np
Submissions should be typed in Times New Roman font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and with a 1-inch margin on all sides. The acceptable lengths for different types of articles published in NCCJ are as indicated below:
Research Paper (Empirical or Review): 4000 to 8000 words.
Case Study or Research Note: 3000 to 5000 words.
Book Review: 1200 to 1500 words.
(Joint) Authorship of Papers: Authors should testify to the authenticity and originality of their papers. If a paper has two or more authors, each of them has to separately testify that they have contributed to the paper and that it is an original creation by them. NCCJ has a very strict anti-plagiarism policy, and hence the authors are expected to submit only authentic and original works to NCCJ. Any changes in the authorship after the initial submission and declaration should be supported by intimations to the Editorial Board to that effect from the authors who are removed as well as those who are added.
Cover Page: Manuscript of a paper should have a cover page providing the title of the paper, the name(s), address(es), phone, fax numbers, and e-mail address(es) of all authors, and acknowledgments if any. In order to facilitate anonymous review of the papers, please restrict the author-related information only to the cover page.
Manuscript Title: The title of the paper should be in 16-point Times New Roman font. It should be bold typed, centered, and fully capitalized.
Abstract: Following the cover page, there should be an 'Abstract' page, which should contain the title of the paper, the subtitle 'Abstract,' and a summary of the paper in single space, not exceeding 250 words. The text of the paper should not start on this page but on a fresh page with the title of the paper repeated.
Keywords: The abstract must be followed by a list of keywords, subject to a maximum of six. These should be arranged in alphabetical order and be separated by commas with a full stop at the end.
Body of Manuscript: The manuscript must be prepared on standard A4 size paper setting. It must be prepared with a 1.5 line spacing, single column, and a 1-inch margin set for top, bottom, left, and right. It should be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font with page numbers at the bottom-center of every page.
Headings: All section headings should be in 14-point Times New Roman font, and sub-section headings should be in 12-point Times New Roman font. These must be bold-faced, aligned left, and fully capitalized. Leave a blank line before each heading.
Figures, Tables, and Exhibits: Each Figure, Table, or Exhibit should be printed on a separate sheet. Figures, Tables, and Exhibits are to be separately numbered, titled, and attached at the end of the text serially. The position of the Figure, Table, or Exhibit should be indicated in the text on a separate line.
References
References is the listing of all citations made in the text of the paper. At the end of your main text, on a new page, type “References”, centred, and list all citations in the alphabetical order. No materials should be included in the list that are not cited in the text.

Call for Papers - 2023
The NCC Journal (NCCJ) invites original research articles for publication in the issue of 2023. We are seeking papers that provide valuable insights into managerial and social sciences policy and practice. We welcome papers that offer localized analysis, comparative perspectives, and an integrative approach to management, encompassing local, national, regional, and global contexts.
Original articles ranging from 4000 to 8000 words are eligible for review. To submit your manuscript, please email it directly to nccjournal@ncc.edu.np. The NCCJ operates on a rolling publication basis. Once a paper is accepted and final proofs are prepared, it will be published online (ahead of print) and subsequently included in the print edition, following the order of acceptance. Before submitting your manuscript, please review the detailed submission guidelines available at NCC webpage These guidelines provide essential information on formatting, referencing, and other necessary requirements.
